yes some lasers would if you shine them in your eye, the energy will burn your retina and destroy the cells that pick up light that you use to see, of course lasers can also help people improve their sight when used properly by a doctor!

Damage here can cause you considerable problems. UV lasers are more likely to damage the lens (the focusing part of the eye) whilst infra red are likely to damage the cornea. As I said this really depends on the power of the laser, but a good rule is never look directly into the beam of a laser.
