Science is the observation of the world around us, learning why and how things happen. People have been doing this since humanity began (someone discovered that if you put food in fire, it cooked), in the Middle Ages people tried to explain how the body worked. But science as we know it today really started in the 16th and 17th centuries, where people began to question established ideas about how things around them worked and began to work in specific fields of chemistry and physics for example. They made the discoveries that dictate how we do science today.

science has been around really since the first people investigated what the world was made of and how it worked, science like we know it today came about 400 years ago when the first ‘real’ scientists began to use the same experimental appraoch as we have today
