Some people do try and do a lot to help the poor, in the UK for example, the Salvation Army do a lot of good work. And people spend a lot of money on research to help people in poverty in places like Africa. In terms of science, there are people working on making generic drugs (which are cheaper versions of the expensive cancer drugs and things) so that people who live in really poor countries can afford the treatments.

I do think that we need to rethink how money is distributed by governments and I think things will change, but I think it will be a long and slow process.

Yes it is sad that there is a lot of money and food in the world but it doesn’t get shared equally, I think lots of people are willing to help though and we should do what we can to give to those who have less, but it is more important that governments help each other so countries that are poor can make more money for their people
