• Question: Are clones able to move by themselves and have survival instincts like we do or do they just stand still where they are placed?

      Yep clones are the same as real animals, when the cloned a sheep to make Dolly she behaved like a normal sheep, the problem with clones is that they can get medical conditions more easily than non-cloned animals but we don’t fully understand why. If we cloned a human they might also have slightly different brain function to us or be more prone to illness

      When we clone something, we are making an exact replica, so it should behave in the same way. But this raises questions about how our brains function, although they may work in the same way, the clone would still need to learn things, and this process my be different because the clone will be in a different environment from the original. I guess this may be why (as Charlotte says) clones get more diseases. They may not have had the chance to develop anti-bodies and things in the same way the original did. I suppose you could think of it as a computer game. You could be given exactly the same character in the game as your friend, but by the end the two may be very different because they had different experiences along the way…
