• Question: hello, paige again. i was wondering. are twins really identical. is it the cromosons of our parents. or is it the genetics.

      identical twins come from one fertilised egg that splits to give two embryos, they get the genes from their parents in exactly the same way as other babies, and the genres are carried on chromosomes. identical twins can have some differences though caused by genetic mutation in development in the womb or their place in the womb e.g. they have different fingerprints as the place in the womb affects fingerprint development
