I want to make a game where a client asks you to analyse archaeological objects, and they will pay a certain amount for the work. Some methods of analysis you can do in your own lab (for free) and others you would need to pay the other players (to use their labs) and each technique costs a different amount. You need to decide what techniques you are going to use and in what combination, and whether you can afford to do the work. Some techniques will have restrictions (the sample has to be a certain size or weight) and some objects will have restrictions (you can’t use a destructive method). Also, you have to be careful, because the object may turn out to be a fake or something. The player who successfully analyses the most objects wins.

I want the game to be fun, but I want to give you guys the chance to see what sort of decisions archaeometrists have to make. I also want to have an info booklet thing alongside the game that gives you more information about the objects and the different scientific methods, so that those people who want to find out more can find out more.

Feel free to send me your suggestions too 🙂
