I don’t really find things with the laser, but I do get to analyse things. In my case they are always really small pieces of other objects, like glass or ceramic.
With the pXRF (portable X-ray Fluorescence Spectrometer – thing that looks like a ray gun) I get to analyse all sorts of things. My fav would have been the stained glass windows in Oxford Cathedral (although I was terrified that I might fall into them and then there would be a Becki shaped hole in a very old and valuable window).
