• Question: What's your opinion on evolution?

      I think evolution is a good theory to explain how the living things in the world came to be how they are today and there is a lot of good evidence for it. How life got started here on Earth is another matter though!

      Evolution is so cool! Sometimes it does things we really don’t expect but it allows adaptation of species to their current natural environment. And what is even better, because this is usually a really long process, we can observe the changes that have occurred before our lifetimes in the fossil record. There are so many different variations that can and have occurred. I think it is fascinating to observe the changes from our earliest human ancestors through to our modern skeletons. And the various off-shoot species that could have evolved into a species like us but didn’t, for example, Neanderthals. And the big questions such as if we met a Neanderthal would we get along with each other, or did we interbreed? So many questions. Evolution is fascinating and awesome!
