• Question: When will there be a cure for cancer?

      There are so many different types of cancer, that I don’t think there will ever be a single cure. We may in the future be able to treat, cure or prevent specific types but I don’t know when that will be.

      I don’t think there will ever be a cure like we have for other diseases but there will be lots of new treatments hopefully from all the research that is being done on cancer

      As has been pointed out there are so many types. Scientific breakthroughs are happening continuously, and treatments are continually improving.

      As you are probably aware, most secondary school children are offered a HPV vaccine. The Human Papilloma Virus has been shown to be a cancer causing organism. If we vaccinate everyone then the rates of cervical cancer will plummet. It is in our power to change the number of people suffering with this disease. It is in our hands…..
